Tim has dedicated his life to his family and GB Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is committed to bringing out the best in all his students by researching and developing the most beneficial training concepts and principles in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as they pertain to actual performance and application.

Bio: Logan is a full-time instructor at Gracie Barra Vancouver. He has been studying martial arts for over 9 years and has an extensive background in Boxing, Muay Thai, Wing Chung, weapons of Kali, Judo, and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. He is committed to helping others reach their health and wellness goals and it shows in his ability to teach people of all ages; from 5 to 85 years old.
Evan Durand
Purple Belt Coach
Bio: Evan has been training in Gracie Barra BJJ for the past 4 years. His commitment to the art is unmatched. In addition to his rank in BJJ, he also holds a Black Belt in Hapkido. Evan’s experience in this art is a great assett to our Kids/Juniors Program.
Kastro Vafaei
Blue Belt Coach
Bio: Kastro Vafaei has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for three years and is Assistant Instructor in the Future Champions and the Intro Programs. He encourages everyone to view BJJ as a lifestyle, and not just recreation. He has dedicated himself to learning and appreciates the encouragement his higher ranking peers give him in the training process. In addition to BJJ, he also has a wrestling background and enjoys playing football (soccer). GB Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has helped Kastro strive to live a healthy life and he soon looks forward to earning his personal training certificate.
Kabir Bath

Bio: Kabir Bath has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since the age of 20, and has managed to make great improvements in his life both on and off the mats. Bath believes strongly in the ability of martial arts to better the lives of individuals, crediting his dedication to the art for his accomplishments in the academic sphere; as well helping him develop invaluable tools for everyday life. Kabir is an active competitor and coach who prides himself on the ability to communicate content effectively to students of all skills levels and lead them to success. A true student of the art, Kabir studies BJJ diligently, and also is an authority in the areas of strength training and sports nutrition. Always willing to help out, Kabir is a great asset to the Gracie Barra family.
Sofie Zambas
Personal Trainer/Cross Training Coach
Bio: Sofie’s enthusiasm for health and fitness extend in over 20 years of being educated in a plethora of sport practices. From playing tennis competitively, to surfing and snowboarding, sports have always been part of her life. Martial Arts have also played a big role in her discipline and determination for the last 8 years through Boxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She learnt that it is important to understand one’s needs and help them focus through compassion, determination and integrity. Sofie is dedicated on helping people reach their goals through creative and challenging workouts; no workout is ever the exact same. Her passion and zeal stem from the continued improvements and achievements of her clients. The experience has led her to elevate client’s needs and varying their workouts with Core Stability, Functional Training, Sport Specific, Strength, Cross-Training and Boxing/Kickboxing. Her Cross Training classes encompass creative stimulation, making up entertaini ng and interesting exercises. She has experience in Pre-Natal Fitness and Fitness for Heart Patients.
